Banana Cream Cheese Bread


8 oz. softened cream cheese
1 C. sugar
1/4 C. butter or butter replacement
1 C. mashed bananas
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract or flavoring
2 eggs
2 1/4 C. flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 C. chopped nuts


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9 x 5-in. bread loaf pan.


Mix together softened cream cheese, sugar and butter, blending well. Blend in bananas, vanilla extract or flavoring and eggs.


Mix together dry ingredients and add to banana mixture, mixing just until moistened. Fold in nuts. Pour into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hr. and 10 min.


Cool 10 min. before removing from pan.
