Forgotten Pork Stew


1 1/2 lb. pork stew meat, cut into 1-in. cubes
3 med. carrots, cut into 3/4-in. pieces
3 med. potatoes, peeled and qt.ered
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 med. onion, chopped
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen lima beans, thawed
1 can condensed tomato soup
1/2 C. water
2 Tbsp. quick-cooking tapioca
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dried basil, crushed
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. ground red pepper


In a Dutch oven Mix together meat, carrots, potatoes, celery, onion and lima beans. Mix together tomato soup, water, tapioca, salt, basil, garlic powder and red pepper. Add to Dutch oven; stir to Mix together. Cover and bake at 325 degrees F for 2 to 2 1/4 hr. or until meat and vegetables are tender.


Makes approximately 4 servings.
