Flemish Stew


1 med. onion, chopped
1 1/2 lb. beef or venison stew meat, cubed
Pin. of thyme
1 can beer
Canola oil


Brown onion and meat in a sm. amount of oil. Add seasonings. Put into casserole and pour in beer. Cover and bake at 350 degrees F for 2 1/2 to 3 hr.. Check it after about 1 1/2 hr.. You may want to reduce the heat or increase the liquid.


Serve over noodles or wild rice.


Servings 3 to 4.
