Soups for Salads :: Soup Mixes
14 oz. dry split peas
12 oz. barley
1 1/2 C. rice
14 oz. ring-type macaroni
12 oz. lentils
4 C. dried onions
Mix together ingredients and store in jars.
To make soup, boil 2 qt. water. Add 1 1/3 C. dry Soup Mix. Salt to taste. Add 1 lb. lean ground beef or leftovers, pieces of meat, celery, carrots. Simmer for 1 1/4 hr. or pressure cook for 20 min.
