Low-Fat and Low-Calorie Recipes :: Side Dishes
1/2 C. chopped onion
1/2 C. chopped green bell pepper
1 1/2 lb. lean ground sirloin
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 (8 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni, cooked
according to pkg. directions
1 (3 oz.) can button mushrooms, drained
1 (8.75 oz.) can tomato soup, undiluted
1 med. tomato, chopped
1/2 C. grated fat free Parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
In a lrg. skillet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray, saute onion and green bell pepper in over med. heat until tender.
Add ground round, cooking until brown. Add salt, pepper, oregano and Worcestershire sauce.
In a 2 1/2-qt. casserole, Mix together cooked macaroni, ground round mixture, mushrooms, soup and chopped tomato.
Cover and bake for 40 min. Remove from oven, sprinkle cheese on top and bake 5 min. more, or until cheese is melted and brown.
Makes approximately 6 servings.
