Quick Meals- Soups and Bread :: Savory Quick Breads
6 C. cornmeal
1 C. flour
Salt
1 tsp. baking soda
2 C. sour milk or buttermilk
Water, as needed
Mix all ingredients, adding just enough water to make of the right consistency, a very heavy batter. Fry in hot oil in skillet. Turn to brown other side.
Delicious with ranch beans. Can be eaten cold or hot.
