Recipe for cooking basic corn bread

Basic Corn Bread


1 1/4 C. yellow cornmeal
3/4 C. flour
1/4 C. sugar
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 C. canola oil
2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 1/4 C. milk


Mix dry ingredients. Add remaining ingredients and stir just until mixed (will probably still be lumpy). Pour into a greased cast iron skillet and bake at 400 degrees F for 25 min.
