Oven "Pit" Barbecue


1 (5 lb.) boneless chuck roast


Marinade
1 (16 oz.) can whole, peeled tomatoes
1 Tbsp. hot chile salsa
3/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. ground pepper
1 lrg. onion, chopped
1 C. celery chopped
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chiles
1/2 tsp. salt


Mix together marinade ingredients and pour over the roast. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Bake at 275 degrees F for a maximum of 10 hr.. The meat will shred very easily.


Excellent for burritos or served on onion rolls.


Makes approximately approximately 25 sandwiches.
