Heavenly Hash

1 sm. box regular vanilla pudding
1 1/2 C. milk
1/2 C. grape or strawberry preservings
1 C. heavy cream, whipped
3/4 C. pineapple tidbits
1/2 C. miniature marshmallows
1/4 C. coarsely chopped toasted almonds
1/4 C. diced maraschino cherries, well drained

Prepare pudding according to pkg. directions using 1 1/2 C. milk. Pour into a bowl; place plastic wrap directly on pudding. Chill.

Blend strawberry or grape preservings into chilled pudding. Gently fold in remaining ingredients. Spoon into dessert dishes. Chill until ready to serve. If desired, garnish with additional whipped cream and a whole maraschino cherry.
