Super Salad Recipes :: Coleslaw
1 lrg. head cabbage
1 or 2 sm. onions
3 or 4 stalks celery
1 green bell pepper
Salt
Pepper
1 C. sugar
1 C. vinegar
1 tsp. white mustard seeds
1 tsp. turmeric
Chop cabbage, onions, celery and bell pepper. Add salt and pepper to taste. Bring sugar, vinegar, mustard seed and turmeric to boiling. Remove from heat and pour over grated cabbage mixture. Cover and place in refrigerator.
This mixture will keep several weeks in the refrigerator.
