Recipe for cooking sweet spiced nuts

Sweet Spiced Nuts


1/4 C. honey
4 tsp. Thai green curry paste or hot curry powder
2 tsp. extra virgin olive oil
1 1/4 tsp. salt
1 C. cashews
1 C. macadamia nuts
1 C. almonds
1 C. pecan halves
1/3 C. sweetened shredded dried coconut


In a bowl, mix honey, curry paste, extra virgin olive oil and salt. Add all the nuts and the coconut; mix well. Spread in a single layer on a 15 x 10-in. pan. Bake at 300 degrees F, turning often with a wide spatula, until nuts are dark gold, about 30 min.


Remove from oven and turn nuts often as they cool. Serve warm or cool.


Makes approximately about 4 C..
