Starters and Snacks :: Butters and Spreads
Start with 8 oz. cream cheese at room temperature. Whip together with any of the following:
Lemon - 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice, 1 Tbsp. lemon zest and 1 Tbsp. powdered\", sugar.
Strawberry - 1/2 C. sliced strawberries and 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar.
Peach - 1/2 C. peeled and diced peaches and 1 Tbsp. powdered sugar.
Lox - 1 oz. (or more to taste) slivered lox. Optional additions: 1/4 C. chopped red onion; 1 or 2 Tbsp. capers.
Cinnamon - 3 Tbsp. brown sugar and 1 tea. cinnamon.
Hot pepper - 1 or 2 jalapeos
