Starters and Snacks :: Butters and Spreads

I thought this made a nice change from all of the "veggie" butters out there. Great for toast and bagels!
Makes approximately: 3/4 C.
2 Tbsp. dried fruit (cranberries, blueberries, etc.)
1/2 C. boiling water
1/2 C. margarine or butter, softened
3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
In a sm. bowl Mix together dried cranberries or dried blueberries and boiling water. Let stand 10 min.
Drain well and finely chop berries. Stir together the 1/2 C. margarine or butter, powdered sugar, and the cranberries or blueberries. Cover and let chill at least 1 hr. before servings to allow flavors to blend.
