General Purposes of a Cheese Knife
There are only a few knives that are used to do this delicate task of cutting cheese including:
- Soft Cheese Knife
- Hard Cheese Knife
- Parmesan Knife
- Garnishes
The soft cheese knife is designed with holes in the blade to stop the cheese from sticking to the blade.
The hard cheese knife is designed to be very sharp to make thin slices and usually have a pronged tip to pick up cheese with.
The parmesan cheese knife has a short blade, but are very thick so it with stands the pressure of cutting this very hard cheeese.
These knives are also used in many bars to cut the fruits for drinks and to spear pickles, cherries, and olives for the garnish. So cheese knives are not just for cheeses anymore.
