General Purposes of Ceramic Knives

Ceramic Knives are used for many different things we would not think of besides the kitchen. Some of the other people that use ceramic knives include:

• Chefs
• Bomb squads
• Divers
• People with allergies

Of course, you would expect a chef to use them, but did you ever think a bomb squad would? They use ceramic knives because they do not conduct electricity. This allows them to cut wires easily without setting off the bomb. Divers like ceramic knives because they do not rust in salt water, they stay looking brand new. People who are allergic to metallic or other metals use ceramic knives so it does not bother their allergies. At one time many security companies were having problems with ceramic knives because they can pass through metal detectors with out being seen. Today, the company that makes them has puts a tiny amount of metal in their knives just so the scanners will get set off but will not bother people with allergies.
