Put a pinch of salt in a pan before frying, and the splattering will stop. If a recipe has become much sweet then try adding salt until it tastes less sweet. If you put too much sugar on a vegetable or other cooked meal, a teaspoon of apple cider vinegar will help. To remove the icky smell of garlic or onions off your hands, wash them with water and baking soda. The odor slides right off when you rinse. You can also rub them on a stainless steel spoon under running water. To freshen up dried bread, wrap it in a damp towel and place it in the refrigerator for a day; remove and lightly heat the slices on a pan for a few minutes. Alternatively, wrap the stale and hard bread in a cloth and steam it for five minutes to make it fresh again. Has the food burned, and now the whole house smells of the terrible burning odor? Ttake a half of a cup of whole cloves and put them in a saucepan with two cups of water. Bring this mixture to a boil and simmer for twenty to thirty minutes. The house will now smell sweet due to this mixture. If the soup has becom too much salty, then slice a raw potato and place the slices in the broth. Once they have cooked and absorbed the salt, remove them. If water gets mixed with oil before using the oil for frying, keep the utensil inside the freezer. After a few hours, the oil will freeze and the water will float over the oil, thus separating them. The burning sensation after cutting green chillies can be reduced by keeping the fingers in a bowl of cold milk added with some sugar. In order to avoid eggplant turning black, put the pieces in a bowl of water mixed with a spoon of milk! Mushrooms absorb water, even from the atmosphere, so they should never be washed. Instead wipe them with a clean and damp cloth. |
