Following shortcuts can be taken into consideration form using least amount of time in cooking:

Keep food fresher and longer. Use paper towels or a sponge to line the refrigerator crisper in order to absorb the moisture.  One can also, keep crackers in the refrigerator instead of the room temperature cabinet.

Frozen Vegetables. Use frozen chopped red, yellow and green bell pepper combinations, as they are easier to use while making stir fry or casseroles.

Buying Meat. Buy ground beef in large amount and separate it into one pound bags and freeze. Use only when needed. Purchase boneless pork loin and cut it into chops yourself.

Leftovers. At the weekend, one can store some leftovers in freezer bags to quickly heat up during the week for a hot, healthy breakfast. This can be done for pancakes, french toast, waffles and sausages.

Cooking Boards. Using the same cutting boards for different foods can harbor many different germs. Use separate boards for different foods, one just for meat, vegetables, dairy, etc. Keep a bottle of bleach and water (mixed together) handy to spray down during use. Remember to rinse the mixture off before using.

Fresh Herbs. In order to have fresh herbs at any time of year, use the chopped herbs and place them in an ice cube tray. Pour water into the tray and freeze. As you need a fresh herb, simply pop a cube out of the freezer.

Fresh Salad Dressing. Use one medium clove of garlic and combine it with one teaspoon salt, one quarter teaspoon pepper,  half lime juice and one quarter cup of olive oil.  This can used as a salad dressing

as well as a marinade for grilled chicken or fish.
