Default Bacon in the Toaster Oven

I used to make bacon in a frying pan and just let it cook in its own grease. About a year ago I was fishing up in Minnesota and we rented a cabin but did not have a frying pan. So we ended up making bacon in an oven. Solved the cooking problem, but in the long run it used a lot of energy... good thing it was a rental! \r\n\r\nMy toaster oven came with a rack that goes in a pan so I thought I would try to make some bacon in the toaster oven as the fat just drips down into the pan and stays off of the bacon. This was great.... In fact I even rubbed some Maple Syrup on the bacon before I cooked it and it gave it a nice maple flavor.\r\n\r\nJust thought I would share this tip with your readers.\r\n\r\nDoogie

 Just kidding..... Thanks for the idea. Last time I tried cooking bacon without using a frying pan, I used the BBQ..... I think I had the burner up to high.... after a few minutes... lots of smoke, flames and some really well done bacon! ops: ... Someone call the Fire Dept!!!!! \r\n\r\nHenry 8)
