Default Panzerotto

I guess this recipe combines two of the recipe boards here. The bread maker board for Pizza dough, and the toaster oven board for the baking of the Panzerotto.\r\n\r\nPanzerotto is a lot like a pizza in terms of making it. You roll it out flat and then you can pretty much stuff whatever tickles your fancy in it and it is all good! But instead of just keeping it flat like a pizza, with a panzerotto you fold the pizza in half until the two sides meet. I close the seam by using a fork and gently pressing the dough together. \r\n\r\nTo give the Panzerotto a nice golden brown color I brush the top and the seam with melted butter. Bake it in the oven at about 425 to 450 and leave it in until it is golden brown.

That looks really good. I usually buy pizza dough at the supermarket but I never thought of doing that with it. I am going to try it next time I pick some dough up when I am shopping.

I agree with OCfan, I never thought of doing that with pizza dough either. I think I will try it on the weekend and see how it turns out.

Wow! I have always wondered how to make those. I will have to see if my local supermarket has fresh dough for sale since I do not have a bread maker. Otherwise, I might have to go out and purchase one!
