Question Splenda...good or bad?

I've been reading horrible things about Splenda all over the Internet. I'd like to know if it's really dangerous to use, or is it just an Internet Legend that has no basis in fact?

Well, Splenda is made from sugar. As far as I have been able to determine, its better for you than aspertame or nutrasweet, and it has the added advantage of not turning bitter when you heat it up. Check out Urban Legends Reference Pages (a reputable internet mythology site) to see if what you are hearing is an urban legend.

Good luck

I've read similar stories about Splenda. You might want to google Polysweet. Its about 80% as sweet as regular sugar, but appears to be the safest sweetner product (with the exception of honey) on the market.
Its more expensive though..

Post Toaster Oven Recipes

United States of America (Press Release) October 26, 2007 — OK, I’m reviewing my own book–”Pop It In The Toaster Oven” which was published by Three River Press in 2002.
As the nation seeks to “get greener” and global warming, alternative energy sources and gas prices become major issues, it seems all the more appropriate to recommend ways of saving electricty and fuel.
The thrust of this book, for which I created over 250 recipes, is not only about healthy eating, but cooking in an economical way. To quote from the introduction, “The TOAST function produces excellent sunny-side up eggs and omelets. In fact, an awesome variety of healthy meals can be created in a toaster oven via one or more of the standard functions and using only one third to one half the energy required by a full-size oven!”
Time to think again about this wonderful little appliance which can cook an amazing variety of healthful meals with minimal energy use!
