Default Cinnamon Toast

I butter toast and mix 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon. I'll sprinkle the cinnamon sugar on top of the buttered bread and put it in the toaster oven. Toast to your liking (my kids don't like them dark, they like it lightly toasted).

I love cinnamon toast too. I use the toaster oven when I'm using a very thick slice of bread. It's so yummy to butter the bread first and have the cinnamon toasted instead of just warm.

My Mom does a variation of this as well. She will use up some leftover french bread or baguettes from the night before and make the cinnamon toast. She'll then do a quick frosting of powdered sugar and milk and then drizzle it on the toast. It sure is good and the kids love going over to grandma's and have this for breakfast.

Have you ever had powdered sugar toast? It's buttered toast sprinkled with powdered sugar and that's it. Delicious. Mom used to make that for me. She also used to slice bananas in milk sprinkled with powdered sugar or blackberries in milk with powdered sugar.

I've never had powdered sugar toast but it sounds good. I'll have to see if my kids like that. I'm sure they will - anything with sugar is good to them!! The bananas in milk sounds good too, but my kids probably won't like that. They'll probably think it's gross!!

LOL! I'm really funny about bananas. I love bananas. But only if they're in the skin. I don't like them in food. I don't want them on cereal. I don't want them flavoring anything. I don't particularly care for the smell of them. But bananas in milk with powdered sugar is yummy.
