Default chrome vs stainless steel

Is there any difference between chrome and stainless steel press pots?

They usually seem to be absolutely the same quality, so I do not see any difference.

Stainless Steel looks like a more popular and nice looking materila, but I agree that it makes no difference whichever to choose.

The difference is in the material of course \r\nSeriously speaking, SS is a better quality material than chrome. If something is made of SS, it stays stainless steel forever, although it does not necessarily remain stainless, especially around salt.\r\nAs for chrome things - only the surface is chrome, but the substrate is something else (aluminum, die-cast, brass, or steel).
