But I use one method of brewing coffee with cold water, which is great for families with only one coffee drinker:\r\n\r\nJust pour a pound of coffee into the maker, add cold water, and let it steep overnight. The "coffee concentrate" will make about 45 cups of coffee. To prepare coffee, just take two tablespoons of the "concentrate" in a cup or mug and add hot water.\r\n\r\nWhat is so good in this method? Cold water brewing extracts the desirable flavor elements, but eliminates many of the undesirable oils and acids found in hot brewed coffee. Cold brewed coffee tastes smoother and is easier on the stomach.
