Actually we use an electric kettle to heat the water to near boiling when we are cupping a new coffee. I roast a small sample batch of green beans to the profile I'm looking for, then grind very coarsley (almost just crush), dump some in the bottom of a cup, pour near boiling water over the whole thing & slurp, swish & spit. This is the most accurate way to achieve true taste and aroma.\r\n\r\nAgain...instant coffee? You gotta be kidding!
