Default small maker for cappucinos and lattes

I need a small unit to make cappuccinos and lattes as a birday present for my friend. I need to be sure that it will work properly.

Buy a good milk frother, this is the easiest way to make latte and cappuccino.

I am afraid, you should buy a small maker and a milk frother separately to make lattes and capuccinos.
