Does anyone have any experiance with a waffle maker. I saw some in the store on the weekend and I was just wanting to know if they are easy to use or am I going to have batter all over the kitchen?\r\n\r\nThx\r\n\r\nRho

I have a Black & Decker waffle maker, and it's fairly easy to use. I just prepare my batter, turn the waffle maker on, wait for it to heat up, pour my batter into it, and take the waffles out once they're nice and crispy (just the way I like them). Be careful not to put too much batter in or it will overflow when you put the top down. If you don't put too much batter in, you shouldn't have that big of a mess.

...I bought an old toastmaster waffle maker at a garage sale that does nothing but make waffles. No griddles or grills or other blls or whistles. It's not coated with teflon but as I've used it for over 4 years now it has become nicely seasoned and the waffles never stick when they are removed. Like others have said, you'll find out the proper amount of batter to place in the maker, through trial and error, so it doesn't flow over the sides as the waffles rise and cook. If you like waffles you'll love making them the way you want...Fresh waffles are by far the best waffles...
