Default coffee maker for outdoor activities.

I want a portable coffee maker that can be used in outdoor activities. Price is not a problem.\r\nAny ideas?

You may want to try unbreakable French Press.

Default "Cowboy" Coffee

Yes, a French press is a nice way to get coffee anytime, however, they are usually glass and somewhat fragile when compared to the rigors you might face on a hiking expedition. There is also the need to have another container to heat the water in for the press.

When weight and space is at a premium in your backpack, the old fashioned methods can be very handy. A stainless steel or enameled percolator coffee pot can be set directly over or alongside your campfire and make you a pot of coffee at whatever strength you prefer.

Because of space limits in the carrying pack you will be able to keep your cup, coffee and condiments stored inside the container when not in use.
