Default Homemade Cheese Spread

This is my favorite \r\n\r\nHomemade Cheese Spread\r\n\r\nYou will need:\r\n\r\n1/2 cup nonfat ricotta cheese \r\n1/2 cup low-fat cottage cheese \r\n1 clove garlic, crushed \r\n1/4 cup chopped fresh basil \r\n1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley \r\n2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives or chopped green onion tops \r\n1 tablespoon chopped fresh marjoram or 1 teaspoon dried marjoram \r\n2 teaspoons chopped fresh oregano or 3/4 teaspoon dried oregano \r\n1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice \r\n1/8 teaspoon black pepper\r\n\r\nFor the Garnish: \r\nfresh chives and oregano sprigs\r\n\r\nHow to cook:\r\n1. In a blender or food processor fitted with the metal blade, combine ricotta, cottage cheese, and garlic. Add the basil, parsley, chopped chives, marjoram, oregano, lemon juice, and pepper. Process until smooth, about 30 seconds, stopping machine to scrape down sides of bowl with a rubber spatula. \r\n2. Place cheese spread in a small serving bowl. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour to allow flavors to blend. Garnish with chives and oregano sprigs. Serve with fresh vegetables and crackers.\r\n\r\n\r\nENJOY

This is a vry good recipe. I've seen it on some other site and tried it at home

I like a spread with Cheddar cheese:\r\n\r\nINGREDIENTS:\r\n1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese\r\n1/4 cup diced pimiento\r\n1/4 cup mayonnaise\r\n2 teaspoons lemon juice\r\n1/4 teaspoon salt\r\n\r\nPREPARATION:\r\nIn a bowl, combine cheese, pimiento, mayonnaise, lemon juice, and salt. Mix to blend well. Chill. Use as a sandwich spread.\r\nMakes 1 cup of pimiento cheese spread.
