What about ceramic knives? Are ceramic blades good quality?

This looks a very useful topic, because to choose a knife that best fits your needs and that is good quality at the same time, you need a basic knowledge of the various types of knives.

for my birthday recently i recieved some knives made from japanese steel. not only do they stay sharp with little maintenance but they also look great.
