What about ceramic knives? Are ceramic blades good quality?
\r\n\r\nThis is what I know:\r\n\r\nCeramic blades are made of zirconium oxide and aluminum oxide. \r\nAlthough they are much more delicate than steel knives, they tend to hold their edge up to 10 times longer. \r\nOnce the blades have dulled, they must be sharpened by a professional.
This looks a very useful topic, because to choose a knife that best fits your needs and that is good quality at the same time, you need a basic knowledge of the various types of knives.
for my birthday recently i recieved some knives made from japanese steel. not only do they stay sharp with little maintenance but they also look great.
