Default Small Kitchen Gift

My mother has her birthday in a month and I am trying to think out some gift for her. I think some small kitchen thing would be a good idea. Something like milk frother, but she has one already. What else?

Default Miniature Measuring Spoons

What about a set of miniature measuring spoons (silver or stainless steel)?\r\n\r\nThese are not your standard measuring spoons. I saw this set somewhere, it includes four spoons which measure a hint, a dash, a pinch, and a smidge. \r\n\r\nThese spoons are for those who are afraid to take the leap using the fingers to measure for such recipe instructions.

Default Vegetable and Fruit Refrigerator Preserver

Vegetable and Fruit Refrigerator Preserver\r\n\r\nThis is a small non-toxic and odorless disk that is placed in your refrigerator vegetable and fruit crisper bin. It neutralizes ethylene gas given off by ripening food, retarding the ripening process and keeping foods fresher.

Two years ago I gave my sister kitchen thermometer and two baking mats for her birthday. \r\n\r\nActually she did not like the thermometer, though it seemed very useful to me. It was electronic kitchen thermometer with large easy-to-read dials, shatter-proof clear lenses and calibration options. Even timer and remote beeper did not satisfy her \r\n\r\nBut she liked silicone baking mats for non-stick cooking. They are washable and reusable, and she still uses them.

I would give her a set of 6 demitasse cups and saucers and demitasse spoons. Last year I gave the same gift to my friend, she was so happy with it.

Give her some good espresso beans. Some perfect Italian taste, like Mauro and Illy.

Aluminum stove top maker is a perfect gift, very easy to use and compact unit and will not take too much place in her kitchen.
