The dosas... Best and the most popular breakfast you could have...
And the preparation method is too fast.... Intially wash the 1 cup of plain rices and dal together. Add plenty of water and Allow to soak for 7-8 hours or overnight. Rewash the rice by draining the water 2-3 times. Grind to a paste. Rawa-like grains should be felt in Add 1 /2 tsp soda bicarb and salt and mix well. Keep aside in a warm place for 8-10 hours. Beat the curds well. Add to the batter, add more water if required. The consistency of the batter should be enough to thickly coat on a spoon when dipped. Heat the iron griddle or non-stick pan well. Then pour a spoonful of batter in the centre, spread with the back of the spoon to a thin round. Pour a tsp. of ghee or oil over it. And allow to fry until it gets crispy.. In the similar way make enough dosas for your whole family.... |

One of the greatest dishes for Dossas is the Coconut Chutney....
It is simple to prepare at your home.... Just take 2 grated coconuts, 1/2 bunch coriander leaves, 8 green chillies and some ginger and salt to taste.... Grind all the ingredients to a smooth paste, adding a little water as required. Then boil the vessel. Add some oil. Put some mustard to fry. Then add the the grinded things to that. Serve this chutney with dosas. |
