Default Payesh - Most popular sweet variety from India

Hey people.. The payasam is a must on the occasions and festivals in India
Also very simple to make.. Can be made within minutes..

Ingredients:
2litres Milk
4 tbsp Sugar
3 - 4 tsp Rice
Some Raisins, Sliced Almonds, Chopped Cashew nuts

Method:
Wash Rice, and let it dry. Heat milk in a thick-bottomed pan.

Simmer until it is reduced to three-fourths its original volume.

Add washed Rice and cook, stirring from time to time, till the Rice is tender. Add the Sugar and cook some more.

Add Raisins and Nuts and serve cold.
