Default ice cream maker: home vs commercial

What is the main difference between home and commercial ice cream makers? Is this the quality of an ice cream the can produce?

If I was to judge quality, I would say that you would get a much superior Ice Cream from a good home ice cream maker. \r\nYou are able to control the ingredients much better.\r\n\r\nIt's like saying you can get a better cup of coffee at a coffee shop than you can at home.\r\nI don't think so!\r\n\r\nBob Tyndall

\r\n\r\nI don't think professionalism means anything here. Making ice cream with ice cream maker is normally quite easy and you don't have to become professional to make proper settings and press the button

Well, the comparison is between Commercial and home made. When you consider the volume of ingredients that go into the making of commercial ice cream, I think it would be much easier to control quality and ingredients when you're talking about making 1 or 2 quarts at a time.\r\n\r\nSo my vote is still home made 10, commercial 0  \r\n\r\nBob

I second Bob's opinion. Homemade food is more natural and healthy.
