Default need a recipe of ice cream without modern machine

My granny is collecting ice cream recipes and she likes mostly the recipes without moder ice cream machines. Does anyone know these recipes?

This is an old-fashioned method: \r\n\r\n1/2 cup cream \r\n1/2 cup milk \r\n2 Tbsp sugar \r\n1tsp vanilla \r\n\r\nMix these ingredients in a small coffee can and seal. Place the can into a larger one with ice and rock salt (regular salt will do) and roll it on the ground. This can also be done in ziplock bags; instead of rolling them, shake them.
