Last year I purchased Gelato Harlequin electric ice cream maker as a Christmas gift for one of my friends. To my disappointment she said it was a totally useless appliance taking her too much time to prepare ice cream, though the instructions said it should take about 20-30 minutes. She said she would rather buy ice cream in the supermarket

I read an inquiry some time ago, the people were asked which Christmas gifts they find most useless. I don't remember the reasons, but 47% of ice cream maker owners rated them useless...

I think it's quite personal. If someone does not like to make his own ice cream at home it does not necessarily mean all people do not use ice cream makers.

I would agree with Olga.\r\nSimply don't know what to think about - you can give an ice cream maker or any other unit which may be useful to a person you are going to congratulate.
