Have you used a vacuum coffee maker? How do you like the coffee made from this type machine? I am thinking about getting one. Most coffee leaves me wanting. It smells great, but the taste isn't. Best coffee is in New Orleans - strong and tasty. I can get Community Coffee here, but it just doesn't taste the same. I am thinking it is my machine. Consumer Reports says vacuum coffee makers are great for making strong coffee. Would like more input.

What is vacuum coffee maker? I am not a specialist in coffee, but nevertheless I've never heard of this type of machine. Do you mean pump espresso machines? If yes, then these machines are of more professional type and they make very good espresso. Actually they are mostly used in coffee shops and houses.

Vacuum technology is very old, and it has been used since the 1830s. This technology is regarded as the most reliable coffee making process, and the coffee brewed by vacuum maker is usually much better than that brewed using the drip method or any other methods. \r\n\r\nCoffee is usually made in the following way: \r\n• the vacuum maker heats water in a special reservoir that is attached to a boilerplate;\r\n• then vacuum pressure draws water up into a chamber filled with grounds;\r\n• then water drips down through a filter back into the reservoir;\r\n• you get you cup of the most aromatic and rich espresso

You can also buy English Cona Vacuum coffee maker. My friend is using it in his small coffee shop, and I come there very often to have my daily cup of fresh espresso. Actually Cona machines make a perfect extraction of the coffee oils and caffeine and what is more important for me personally, this coffee is without any bitterness or sediment.
