What is the optimal water temperature for perfect coffee drink?

As far as I know, the optimal water temperature for drip coffee is 95-98C. According to my notes, colder water doesn't extract enough caffeine/essential oils from the beans.

Well, above such temperature the acidity increases wildly.

I know the same, that this temperature 95-98C is the best.
