Default direct drive grinders

As far as I know direct drive grinders are the most expensive. Are they really so good, are they worth the money the cost?

Direct drive grinders are supposed to the best available for home or light commercial use. They are really high-end grinders.

This is waht I found on some website:\r\n\r\nIn a direct drive grinder the low-speed motor is connected directly to the burrs so that they spin at the same speed. These high quality motors are designed to handle the load with ease. Because they spin at a low RPM, minimal heat or static is created. The final bonus is that they are extremely quiet.

Can anyone advice the model of direct drive grinder?\r\nIt is very interesting to know that it is whisper quiet. My father needs a good quiet grinder for a coffee shop.
