Smile Cheffrey’s Best Ever Sunflower Seed Bread

Add color to your bread with a little creativity. This bread is superb when toasted. You can also add your favorite filling or spread. This recipe can yield 2 loaves of bread.
For softening yeast:

2 packs yeast (active, dry) 2 c water (warm) 1 ts sugar

Use a large bowl. Place yeast into the warm water. Allow the yeast to rise before adding sugar. Stir the mixture thoroughly.

1/3 c sunflower oil 1/3 c sugar 2 ts salt 1/2 -1 c sunflower seeds (dry roasted-optional) 3 c flour (unbleached, all-purpose)

Mix and stir the ingredients. You can add 3-31/2 cups flour as desired. This will make the dough stiff.

Evenly knead the flour surface until it becomes smooth. Grease a bowl for the dough. Place dough inside. Turn it once to grease its top.

Cover the dough. Allow it to rise for about 45-60 mins. Knead dough firmly in the bowl.

Divide it in half. Pinch and shape dough into oblong shaped loves. Put in either in one baking sheet or in two 9x5 baking pans. Make sure the baking sheet is also greased.

Cover it again. Let it rise now for another 30-40 mins. Preheat in oven for about 35-40 mins.

The temperature of the oven should be 375F.
Remove from the oven when done. Place it on top of wire racks. Allow to cool until ready to serve.
