Cool White Bread Home Recipe

Want to bake 2 loaves of white bread at home? If so, then prepare the following ingredients:

• 3 tablespoonfuls of sugar;
• 1 package dry rapid-rise yeast ;
• 5 cups of bread flour or more;
• 2 tablespoonfuls of salt;
• a fourth (1/4) tablespoonful of baking soda;
• a third (1/3) cup of milk;
• a cup of tap water;
• a cup of buttermilk;
• and a beaten egg.

After you have prepared the necessary ingredients for baking white bread at home, you should follow these easy steps for properly baking white bread at the comfort of your home:

• prepare 2 muffin pans measuring 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches (teflon or greased recommended).;
• prepare a sauce pan or a microwave oven;
• use the sauce pan to warm the butter and milk together at 110 degrees F, and if you are worried about curdling, you can use a microwave oven for this purpose instead (don't kill the yeast by overheating);
• combine the sugar with 2 cups of bread flour, the yeast, baking soda, and salt;
• add the liquid ingredients to the mix then manually stir until it blends;
• add an additional cup of bread flour to the mix;
• beat the mix until it blends into a thick batter;
• add another cup of bread flour;
• dump the mix out onto a board and prepare to start kneading;
• and add bread flour whenever necessary for making a nice dough (knead for 8 to 10 minutes).

Finally, follow these simple rising instructions for your white bread loaves:

• place the dough ball in a greased bowl;
• afterwards, cover the lid of the bowl tightly with saran wrap;
• Situate the bowl in a warm room of your house (about 80-100 F );
• and allow mix to rise until its volume doubles (about half an hour, but if you don't notice any respiration spots on the wrapper of the bowl, this means you killed the yeast with too much heat).

Finally, follow these easy baking instructions for your white bread loaves:

• divide the entire contents of the bowl equally into 2;
• shove the halves into the muffin pans (each half per muffin pan);
• cover the muffin pans with wax paper and allow to rise (about half an hour to an hour);
• preheat the oven for about half an hour or until it reaches 375 F, which would be about the same time the rising has completed;
• afterwards, brush the white bread loaves with the egg wash;
• bake for about half an hour to an hour (the loaves dumped will sound hollow at the bottom if it was baked properly);
• finally, let the loaves cool off on wire racks.

At this point, the loaves should be wrapped tightly with a plastic bag. This would allow the white bread loaves to be stored at room temperature for 2 months at max. Reheating the white bread loaves requires it to be placed in an oven heated at 200ºF for half an hour.

For slight variations of this white bread home baking recipe, you can sprinkle the dough with sesame seeds or raisins, and you can even use skimmed milk instead of water or go without brushing the loaves with the egg wash. Enjoy!
