Starters and Snacks :: Warm Hor d'oeuvres
1 lb. bulk pork sausage
1 slightly beaten egg
1/2 C. bread cubes
4 Tbsp. butter
3/4 C. chili sauce
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 C. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
In a bowl, Mix together sausage, egg and bread cubes. Use a tsp. to form sm. balls. Melt butter in frying pan. Cook balls evenly until brown; drain on paper towels. In a saucepan, mix remaining ingredients. Cook slowly for 20 min., stirring occasionally.
Place balls in a chafing dish; cover with sauce. Serve with wooden picks.
Makes approximately 20 to 25 appetizers.
