Starters and Snacks :: Sweet Dips and Spreads
1/2 C. butter or butter replacement, softened
1/4 C. chopped finely toasted almonds
3 Tbsp. light rum
1/4 tsp. lemon juice
1/8 tsp. garlic salt
1/8 tsp. paprika
6-in. wheel Brie cheese (about 1 lb.)
Whole toasted almonds
Fresh fruits
Assorted crackers
In sm. bowl, beat butter with chopped almonds, rum, lemon juice, garlic salt, and paprika. Cut white crust from top of Brie; spread Brie with butter mixture. Garnish edge with whole almonds. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 1 hr. before servings. Serve with cut fruit and assorted crackers.
Makes approximately 16.
